Ayrton Senna Signed 1985 Race Used Visor

1985 Formula 1 Season

Description

This race visor was used by the late, legendary 3-times Formula One World Champion Ayrton Senna when he competed in the 1985 FIA Formula 1 World Championship with John Player Special Team Lotus.

Following his breakthrough rookie season with Toleman the year before, Ayrton joined Lotus in 1985 as Italian Elio de Angelis’ team-mate and, now racing in iconic JPS colours, he immediately confirmed his supreme talent by claiming his first F1 pole and win at the Portuguese Grand Prix. During a memorable season, Ayrton went on to win again in Detroit and to claim 6 more podiums but, whilst his championship ambitions were ultimately blunted by lack performance and reliability with his Lotus 97T, his extraordinary natural talent was showcased repeatedly by his astonishing wheel-to-wheel racecraft and 7 sublime pole positions.

Supplied with a letter of authenticity from a highly reputable F1 collector who is featured in multiple Ayrton Senna biographies, this clear Bell race-worn visor features the decals of Lotus team sponsors Renault and Elf. To make it even more special Ayrton added his signature to it in 1992.

Ayrton Senna race used items are always in high demand and dedicated F1 collectors won’t want to miss this opportunity to own a piece of historic Senna memorabilia with strong provenance. A rare, real piece of Motorsport Gold.
