Mika Häkkinen Signed 2000 Race Used Drinks Bottle

2000 British GP

Description

Formula 1 collectors and McLaren fans have the rare opportunity to own this authentic drinks bottle used during the 2000 British Grand Prix by double world champion Mika Häkkinen.

This official team-issued drinks bottle was used by Häkkinen on his way to finishing a close 2nd in the race behind McLaren team-mate David Coulthard, as the pair recorded McLaren’s first 1-2 of the season. Although Häkkinen was ultimately edged out by Michael Schumacher in their titanic fight for the 2000 Drivers Championship, he claimed 4 Grand Prix victories in 2000 and recorded 11 pole positions, 5 podium finishes and 9 fastest laps (including one at the British Grand Prix).

This black and grey McLaren-issued drinks bottle carries the logo of team sponsor Schweppes and is adorned with the Finnish flag, race number 1 and the McLaren logo. To make it even more special, it has been clearly signed by The Flying Finn himself and is accompanied by an official Certificate of Authenticity from McLaren, which has been signed by former team director Martin Whitmarsh.
